| 15 January 2009: John Rowlatt (right), who is responsible for Northamptonshire, receives his award as Snap-on Diagnostics UK Salesman of the Year 2008 from Ian Ramsay, Northern Regional Manager.
“This has been an incredible annual achievement by John,” says Phil Nassau, UK Managing Director of Snap-on Diagnostics. “In 2008 he became the first Snap-on Diagnostics salesman to achieve a feat which we would previously have believed to have been impossible – achieving over £1 million in actual sales volume in one year.
“Our Snap-on Diagnostics Salesman of the Year award is based upon performance as a percentage against an annual sales target on all products. John was not only top salesman on this basis but also our top salesman based upon overall volume – quite an achievement.
“John, who brings 18 years of experience to his role, obviously began the year with very tough targets because of his strong past performance. His Snap-on Diagnostics product experience, his real understanding of the market and the trust and respect which he has built up with his customers, have clearly served him well. Amazingly, he sold more than 20 of our Sun VIC 3000 ATLs during the course of the year, as well as achieving significant success with the emissions, air conditioning and hand-held diagnostics products. His success with our top-of-the-range MODIS was particularly pleasing.”
In a closely contested competition, Paul Rose – responsible for Norfolk and Lincolnshire – came second, with Mark Lilly, who is responsible for the West Country, in third place.
Editor’s Note: John Rowlatt has got off to a really great start to 2009. He has already sold two ATLs, several hand-held diagnostics products, as well as 2-post lifts, balancers and tyre changers from Snap-on Diagnostics’ newly introduced workshop equipment range.
