| 16 July 2009: Snap-on Tools, brand leader in tools, tool storage and diagnostic equipment for the automotive market, has announced the appointment of Paul Haines as its new Wetherby Branch Manager.
Paul is pictured (left) with Aldo Rodi, Snap-on Tools’ UK National Sales Manager, to whom he now reports. He takes over the Wetherby branch following the retirement of Steve Rowe, after 32 years with Snap-on.
In total, Snap-on Tools has six branches nationwide. Paul’s area covers the whole of the North East plus Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and part of Lancashire. He has six Field Managers reporting to him and is responsible for the running of 76 Snap-on Franchisees out of a national total of over 430.
Paul began his career as a self-employed garage owner from the age of 21. He joined Snap-on as a Franchisee in 1994 and, after six successful years, moved into the Wetherby Field Management Team in 2000.
“Paul’s energy, enthusiasm and forceful style have seen him move into this important position,” says Aldo Rodi. “His primary responsibility will be to build on the previous good work done with the Wetherby branch and to continue to develop and grow the network in order to maintain Snap-on’s market leadership position.”
