| 24 February 2009 : Snap-on Tools, brand leader in tools, tool storage and diagnostic equipment for the automotive market, has announced the appointment of Robert Stevens as its new UK Franchise Manager.

In his new role Robert will be responsible for growing the Snap-on network of franchisees to ensure that every UK customer is visited regularly by a Snap-on van. He will also ensure that every franchisee complies with the existing successful Snap-on Tools business format which resulted in Snap-on winning the coveted 2007 Franchisor of the Year Award sponsored by The Daily Express and HSBC Bank.
An American, Robert holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. After working initially in information technology, he joined Snap-on Tools in the United States in 2003 as an Associate Manager in California. He then moved quickly into field management running first the San Diego field operation and then, as Business Manager, taking responsibility for the initial implementation of the Franchise Performance Teams in the US. He and his wife moved to the UK in 2007 where he has been working as a Snap-on Tools Field Manager for the Greater Manchester area.
